Office of Police Complaints Announces Relocation

Wednesday, November 16, 2005

(Washington, DC) The Office of Police Complaints (OPC), the District of Columbia's police accountability agency, announced today that the agency will be moving to new offices at 1400 I Street, NW, Suite 700, Washington, DC, 20005. OPC anticipates that the move will occur at the end of December 2005, and the agency will publicize more specific details as they are available.

The move is an important step in the growth of the agency which has increased its staff to 20 full-time employees and has outgrown its current location.

OPC's new offices will be conveniently located above the McPherson Square Metro Station, which is serviced by the Blue and Orange line trains and several bus lines.

Although the agency's address will change, the public can still reach OPC staff by telephone at (202) 727-3838, by fax at (202) 727-9182, and via the web.

For additional information or questions regarding the move, please contact OPC's public affairs specialist, Melanie Deggins, at (202) 727-3838.
