Office of Police Complaints Release Fiscal Year 2016 Mid-Year Report

Report highlights the agency’s mid-year performance statistics

(Washington, DC)  – The Office of Police Complaints (OPC) today released its Fiscal Year (FY) 2016 Mid-Year Report.

The report highlights agency statistics on investigations, complaints and contacts, as well as the types of allegations received by OPC from October 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016.  

The report also provides information on how to file a complaint against Metropolitan Police Department or D.C. Housing Authority Office of Public Safety officers, helpful tips on things to remember when making a complaint, and an announcement regarding the implementation of the Neighborhood Engagement Achieves Result Act (NEAR Act), a new law expanding the jurisdiction of OPC.
